"Out Of Depth" - Matthew 6:29-33 & 20:7; Proverbs 11:30 & 4:7; Daniel 12:3 and 2 Peter 3:9.

Life In The Word Part 1

The key is to ask God to lead  you. It  was laid on my heart today to ask God for His guidance and allow Him to lead me. Sometimes in life, we have an idea of how we want our lives to unfold, but God already knows what is in our future. Read Jeremiah 29:11-12. It reminds us, God already has a plan for our lives. We simply need to ask Him to reveal it to us, get on board and trust Him to be our source and light!
Ask for direction: I had a conversation with my biological mother and this thought really came to light. Our conversation was really like no other before. Out of the blue, (or should I say God purposed her) she spoke to me about how she chose her career.
My mother stated at the age of eight, she asked God to reveal to her what He wanted her to do. He revealed to her she should be a special education teacher. Having a sister with special needs, she understood the importance of her calling.
He will give you grace: She stated, "God gave her grace to perform her job and she never once regretted her decision." She found herself in situations others would complain about, such as changing young adult students’ diapers, keeping students clean, and simply going beyond the call of duty. But, what really stood out is that she enjoyed every minute. While it was a requirement to wear a mask, she chose not to because she wanted her students to know she loved them and had a great deal of compassion for them.
God provided her with the stamina to make it through these times, and when that chapter of her life was over, He revealed to her it was time to move on. She had tried several other things before then, like tailoring, business and catering.

Reflection: If you are unclear regarding the direction of your life, ask God what does He desire for you. And whatever He reveals to you ask Him for His grace to do His will.
During NYSC I discovered a new craft (bead making). It all started out of boredom, the passing out Corpers were making beads to sell and I offered to help one of them out. I would seat and make pieces so fast that She would be amazed at me but she refused to show me how to make styles and also fix them together into a complete bag, key holder, necklaces and so on), after two weeks of consistently helping her out, I decided I would go and get some few beads to practice since in a few days she would pass out. I traveled very far to get these beads, it was such a long day journey because of all the stops to pray by the religious people in the car that I actually started wondering if it was worth it. We have a responsibility to activate our gift, because the bible said a man's gift will make way for him (Read Proverbs 18:16 and 22:29), see a man who is diligent/skilled in His work, he will seat amongst Kings and not before mean men. We are highly gifted, we are creatures of excellence , God's masterpiece created unto every good works (Ephesians 2:10). I got back and sat down and made a complete bag then bags and belts, CD holder, purse, key holders and mine was the best they had ever seen, I started training people and making money and paying tithe. Remember I never trained for this and I was excited about it. I made unique styles, I would make key holders with initials, make patterns that everybody will be asking how I managed to do that. Every night when everybody was asleep, I will seat up and God will show me these patterns and I will start making them. The Holy Spirit is a perfect teacher, it is not the word knowledge that matters but word practice. You cant think failure and mistakenly become a success (Read Proverbs 23:7; Philippians l4:8). I was excited, for someone who can't seat for long in a place, I was seating for hours to make a complete set (a big bag, a purse, a key holder, necklace set and a waist belt). How would I know I had the capacity to seat for that long?! Word practice works.
Sometime back I was struggling with career, promotions, recognition at work as others do less and get praised and promoted, I get praised but no promotions to back it up (initially it was like maybe it is the economic crisis but then that too passed and it became obvious that something was wrong) and when I asked God it was a short sentence response "Out Of Depth" and looking back now I know exactly what it means, when a fish is in water it doesn't struggle to breath or dive, when placed on ground it dies fast (at first it struggles to breath, it can't dive, it can't shine and it looses its true purpose). God created us to love Him, serve Him and do same to our neighbors because He first loved us (Read Matthew 6:29-33 & 20:7, Proverbs 11:30 & 4:7 and 2Peter 3:9). Then Revelations 5:12b..........to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” will begin to speak in our lives.

Prayer: God show me your will for my career/life in Jesus name Amen.

  5. Sweetheart, you are on point and absolutely correct. We came to this world fully packaged with purpose, source and destination. God made us to understand that none of us was born by accident. We are here for a reason; we came from somewhere and to solve a problem.
Jeremiah 1:5 --“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you, ....” we were brought to this world to fulfill a purpose for God that is why he said he knew us to be up to the task before he formed us in the belly. With that being said, without a relationship with a manufacturer we cannot fully maximize the potentials of a product except you look into the user manual or contacting the support, same way we cannot maximize our potentials without the word of God/ relationship with God. We cannot understand who we are, and why we are here and where we came from.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

  6. Powerful!!! Absolutely, Destiny can never be fulfilled outside of God's leading. Everyone that has attempted to do so ended up in shame and destruction. There is always a way that seems right in the sight of us even sometimes appears to be a good idea, but leads to death. It is also wisdom to follow the path of someone who has gone ahead of us to the future we desire, Isaiah 46:10. The Word of God is the light that shines our path and guides us to the purpose and plan of God for our lives. The Shepherd is always ready and available to guide and lead His sheep.
